Brandon Flowers

Brandon Richard Flowers (born June 21, 1981) is an American singer and songwriter. He rose to prominence as the lead vocalist, keyboardist, and occasional bassist of the Las Vegas–based rock band the Killers, which he formed with Dave Keuning in 2001. In addition to his work with the Killers, Flowers has pursued a successful solo career. Flowers is known for his blend of alternative rock and synth-pop, as well as his incorporation of elements of new wave, heartland rock, and Americana. Flowers first entered the music industry after he responded to an ad placed in Las Vegas Weekly by Keuning in 2001. After recruiting bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr., the group released their debut album, Hot Fuss (2004). The group's blend of new wave and post-punk was met with critical acclaim, and sold 7 million copies worldwide. The Killers have released six further studio albums—Sam's Town (2006), Day & Age (2008), Battle Born (2012), Wonderful Wonderful (2017), Imploding the Mirage (2020), and Pressure Machine (2021), all of which (including Hot Fuss) topped the UK Albums Chart. Flowers has also found success in a solo career, and has released three solo albums, Flamingo (2010), The Desired Effect (2015), and Thrasher (2026). Incorporating styles of soft rock, electropop, and Americana, the former two albums additionally topped the UK Albums chart, earning Flowers his tenth No. 1 on the UK Albums chart. Collectively, Flowers' work with the Killers as well as his solo career have sold over 36 million copies worldwide.
