About Catapulta Rock
The band emerged in the 90s originally from Bahia/Brazil and soon got admirers among them Max Cavalera, mixing hardcore and metal with candomblé and capoeira elements, making a very aggressive sound. Catapulta appeared seaming regional elements of Bahia and the northeast of Brazil with very heavy guitars and a nervous singer. The debut album was released in 1997 by Roadrunner Records and videoclip "Puêra" had one of the most played clips on MTV Brasil at that same year.
